If you’re looking for a sweet, creamy smoothie to have as a breakfast boost or as a pre-workout energising snack - then this is exactly what you need! Creamy, chilled and bold in coffee flavour!
The bananas provide a sweet, ice cream-like base, the peanut butter provides a salty kick and protein and healthy fats, the oats provide extra creaminess, the ice provides extra thickness and most importantly, the coffee provides a delicious kick.
This also makes the perfect dessert when you want something creamy and cold, or when a serious coffee craving strikes (i.e. every minute of the day).
¼ cup strong coffee (I used Nescafé Gold as it’s my favourite instant coffee)
¼ cup oats (I used gluten free oats)
1 tablespoon peanut butter (or sub any nut butter)
1 tablespoon maple syrup (or sub any sweetener)
¾ cup milk (almond, coconut, rice or other milk) - add more for a thinner shake
4 ice cubes
Add all ingredients to the blender and blitz.
Enjoy your power breakfast or pre-workout snack!*
* Best when fresh but you could even freeze this into popsicles!
